“When we talk about a purpose of life, the Buddhists will always think you must be suffering. And when there is a suffering … you tend to ask what’s the purpose, because you are seeking.”

On June 12, 2018 at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, to an audience of students, faculty, and members of the local Buddhist sanghas, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche presented the fundamental Buddhist truths of impermanence, suffering, phenomena’s lack of inherent existence, and that liberation is beyond extremes. Rinpoche also touches on the relationship and relevance of Buddhism in light of modern views of science, philosophy and religion.
